Wanaka is located on the South West of the South Island; this small yet versatile town lies deep within towering Alpine mountains and glacial Lakes. The islands have been extensively planted with native and local flora. Mt Aspiring National Park World Heritage Area is remote, tranquil, scenic, loved by climbers and captured by photographers for its visual splendour the park’s gateway begins at the shores of Lake Wanaka.
